If you suspect that the plugins are corrupted or are not working fine, consider uninstalling them and installing them again. This will most likely fix the issue. If it does not, reinstalling the Scarlett 2i2 USB audio interface software is your last resort. Reinstall
Applies to: Scarlett Solo, 2i2, & 2i4 (First and Second Generation) If you have connected your Bus Powered Scarlett to your computer and you are not hearing it, please run through these troubleshooting steps to make sure everything is set correctly.
The Scarlett shut down for 2 or 3 seconds, the sampling rate went back to the original setting, but when the Scarlett came back on, it was working properly. I don't know if the Scarlett got reset or initialized somehow, or if the process somehow got it working properly with my iMac, but in either case, it's now working the way it's supposed to.
It could be possible something may be malfunctioning. Try contacting customer support tomorrow. It also could just be the USB wire itself going bad which you could order online. Try reinstalling drivers too. Uninstall everything for focusrite. Go to device manager and look for focusrite stuff too uninstall it from there then reboot.
